Description
Inspects purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements. Inspects for proper identity and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers. Visually inspects for obvious defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits. Verifies specifications using purchase orders, blueprints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists. Makes pass/fail decisions on inspected goods and applies QSR/cGMP requirements. Maintains records of results and understand good documentation practices. Inspections may involve compound angles or three-dimensional projections using inspection equipment such as microscopes, micrometers, telescope gauges, and optical comparators. Understands QSR and cGMP basic requirements. Applies GMP’s to daily work habits. Computer literacy required including MS office and E-mail. Must be comfortable learning BSC software packages such as SAP, Mini-tab, and general lab data recording packages.
A.A.S preferred
CQT or CQI preferred
A.A.S. : 2-4 years
High School Grad: 5+ years with tooling/measurement experience
